St. Paul's Food Basket is the oldest outreach program operated by Grace Church. We provide food to needy folks at St. Paul’s Church in Camden the fourth Sunday morning of each month, year round.
We offer bags with canned food, etc. (for families with cooking facilities) and bags with “no cans” (for the homeless).
It takes about 10 cans of food and other packaged food items to fill each family bag for handing out. It takes about 20 different snack foods for each homeless bag that we give out.
While we use St. Paul's Church at 422 Market St. in Camden as our distribution center, our efforts are non-denominational. The number of bags increases for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
Weekdays, we collect donated food from 5 Wawa Stores near us. This food is distributed to St. Wilfrid’s, Joseph’s House, Heart of Camden and St. Paul’s.
We have many opportunities for volunteer help. These include:
Wawa food pick-up Monday through Friday .
Wawa Food delivery to St. Paul’s (Sunday Mornings), Josephs House (Wednesday Mornings) and St. Wilfrid’s (every other Saturday Morning) and Heart of Camden (Tuesdays on Off- Weeks for St. Wilfrid’s) .
Picking up food at the Food Bank in Pennsauken
Helping shop for food at Aldi or BJ’s
Bagging food the week before
Handing out the food bags on Sunday mornings
We try to limit each volunteer to only a few hours each month and only when they are available. We always need volunteers.

We need everyone's financial support since we have to buy much of the food we give away. It takes about200 cans of vegetables and other food items each time we fill the bags. A check to Grace Church directed to the St. Paul's Food Basket is always most appreciated. If you would rather donate online, you can do so by clicking here.
To obtain enough food to fill the bags, our parishioners have been very generous in bringing to the Parish House rear doors (PATCO side):
-Juice Boxes, Cereal, Canned vegetables, soup and fruit, Pasta & Pasta Sauce (No glass jars, please), Non-refrigerated, Milk Boxes, Peanut Butter, Crackers, Tuna
Thanks for any help you can provide.
